What is Vertical Farming and how it?s done?
Vertical farming is the practice of growing produce in vertically stacked layers. This type of farming practice can use soil, hydroponic, or aeroponic growing methods. Vertical farms attempt to produce food in a challenging environment, like where arable land is rare or unviable. The technique helps mountainside towns, deserts, and urban cities grow different types of fruits and vegetables.
The vertical farming innovation works on a suspended tray configuration that is unique in itself. There is a platform made to store the water in the bucket posing as the storage tank, here. By the help of the platform, water will be collected in the bucket. This water will be used again for pouring water on the plants. The tray used above the water storage bucket is used for irrigation purposes. With the help of a pulley structure, waste from different levels of the plate is managed. On the other side of the pulley, structure ladder is being placed for farmers to accesses the tray on different levels as required.
