It was 2009, where it all began. Mr. Pradeep Sangwan, a passionate trekker, was always in love with the mountains. It inspired him and many others to trek by watching the early 2000?s Bollywood movies to actually experience the view.

The locals living there, have a deeper connection with the place but dint know what precautions to take after the tourist period got done. They were rather not well equipped and so faced a lot of problems. The pure form of nature gets polluted with plastics and loads of glass bottles, and garbage from camping expeditions. Not only that, but the beauty of Himalayas is disrupted by uncleared waste which is a threat to the environment, lives of people as well as the wildlife living there.

This dire situation led Pradeep to literally take matters into his own hands and he began to pick up garbage on each trek. A mission that friends, locals, and volunteers from around the world would come to join in, leading to a 5,000 strong movement to create sustainable change at 3,000m above sea level.

Healing Himalaya Movement:

Few volunteers joined hands with Pradeep and slowly till date have been contributing to clean the mountain area with great effort! Salute to them!
