Minal is the Research and Development Chief of the Mylab Discovery in Pune, which is the first Indian firm to get full approval to make and sell COVID-19 / Corona virus testing kit in India. She has also previously worked on swine-flu disease at NIV Pune. It was during the 2009 outbreak when she worked on this flu.
This Virologist, took the ?IM? out of the word ?IMPOSSIBLE?, by delivering India?s first COVID-19 testing kit for evaluation within the span of only 6 weeks instead of 3 to 4 months, just before the day she delivered a baby girl. She probably began to work on the making of corona virus kit in the month of February, when she was in her last stage of pregnancy.
However, where India ranks 145th among 195 countries in terms of quality and accessibility of healthcare, Minal just uplifted the bar of India?s healthcare system.

She believes that since she had worked for 5 long years in this field, this was the right time to serve the nation.
