The distribution of energy resources on earth is very different quantities. The quantities differ in finite and infinite terms. We use all forms of energy resources to facilitate our day to day requirements and necessities. For example: The air we breathe, the sunshine we get and the water we drink is necessary for life to exist on earth. This air, sunlight and water are some of the energy resources provided to us by nature in infinite quantity. Other type of energy resources provided to us by nature in finite quantity will be oil, coal, minerals and etc. the finite energy resources like oil and coal cannot be used more than once and are in limited stock in nature where as on other side infinite energy resource like air and water can be used more once and are not limited in nature.
With increasing population by the day there is an immense pressure on these resources to fulfill mans demand. There is a huge gap between the demand of the energy and supply of energy and the gap is only increasing with the population. When talking about filling this gap one has to adopt newer methods energy conservation, using the fullest of infinite energy resources by our capacity etc. Electricity being the most basic requirement to function in today?s life is an understatement. Electricity is required for urban use, agriculture use and necessary for industrial development.
Thermal energy is present in the nature in infinite amount and can be used in bridging the gap in the demand and supple. How does this work? A thermal energy converter is a form of heat engine which takes up heat at an upper temperature (hot, the burning candles) converts it partly into electrical energy and discharges the remaining part at a lower temperature (cold, iced rubbed on it). The coordinate working of a thermocouple, as is the case with other heat engines, increases by increasing the upper temperature and decreasing the lower temperature. Since the lower temperature is usually that of environment the efficiency of a thermocouple, practically, depends upon the hot temperature. These types of projects can be set up in rural area as there is enough space to run the entire operation on large scale. This thermal energy model won?t just bridge in the gap of demand and supply but also bridge in the gap of electricity distribution between urban and rural areas.
