Official Warnings: These warnings are generally broadcasted through radio, television and other mediums. The Tsunami Early Warning Centre is at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) in Hyderabad. One of the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (IOTWMS) is in Telangana.
Natural Warnings: These warnings would be a strong earthquake, a roar from the ocean and unusual ocean behaviour.
