5 Lakh Students & Faculty To Be Trained On Cybersecurity

AICTE joined hands for two programmes ? one with Cyberpeace that will train 5 lakh students and faculty on cybersecurity, and the other with Pupilfirst for the CoronaSafe internship programme.

Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, unveiled the cybersecurity training programme which is curated to train 5 lakh students and teachers. AICTE Vice-Chairman, MP Poonia, pressed upon the potential of youth and their proactive role in bringing out innovations within the country.

Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE listed out its initiatives to support the educational empowerment of the youth in the country. During the occasion, results of AICTE-Pupilfirst Corona Safe Engineering Fellowship (Internship) Programme were announced.

Sanjay Vijayakumar, Pupilfirst shared his action points for the selected students under the partnership with AICTE. He shared that it was a three-stage interview process channelised to take on board India?s brightest software engineering students. In the first phase of the process, 24 candidates were selected for the internship programme. Sahasrabudhe lamented that AICTE has always worked towards using the positive energy of the youth in nation-building process.

The two programmes mentioned above will play a crucial part in empowering youth of the country. Even the faculty members need to make the classes more interesting, so that the power of creativity and lateral thinking amongst students is ignited, felt Sahasrabudhe.
